The Dutch Neurofederation was established as a foundation in 1995 to coordinate and strengthen neuroscience efforts across The Netherlands. It was formed in response to the growing need for a unified voice in the field and has since played a key role in aligning national initiatives and fostering international engagement in neuroscience.
The Dutch Neurofederation promotes neuroscience research and education across The Netherlands. We support collaboration among researchers and institutions, and provide a national platform for research coordination and strategic planning. Internationally, we represent the Dutch neuroscience community to ensure strong connections and visibility on the European and global stage.
The Dutch Neurofederation can be reached by email secretariat@neurofederatie.nl
The Dutch Neurofederation is a network of neuroscientists and neuroscience organizations in The Netherlands. We serve as a national forum for dialogue, planning, and representation in the field of neuroscience.
We represent the Netherlands in the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and act as the national liaison for international neuroscience initiatives.
Our structure includes:
Individual members: Individual neuroscientists
Society members: Neuroscience organizations such as graduate schools, institutes and organizations
Board: Responsible for the daily management and operations of the federation.
The Dutch Neurofederation represents a broad coalition of neuroscience societies, working groups and graduate schools in The Netherlands. Each organization contributes to the collective mission of advancing neuroscience research, education, and collaboration.
